Borobudur tample.

This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries,

is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers:

a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces,

the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa.

Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple, Indonesia's third most prominent tourist city

beside Bali and Jakarta.

One of the special contributions of this book lies in its correlating the cyclical movements of the Sun and Moon with the numerical symbolism of Borobudur. The authors cite the magical effect of the Sun suddenly appearing out of the volcano Merapi and empowering the Borobudur-mountain with its radiant energy in poetic imagery.

Summary by:sapos123
Pendet , bali traditional dance, from bali
indonesia

Pendet is the presentation of an offering in the form of a ritual dance.

Unlike the exhibition dances that demand arduous training, Pendet may be danced by anyone.

It is taught simply by imitation.

Pendet is a traditional Balinese dance,

in which offerings are made to purify the temple or theater as a prelude to ceremonies or other dances.

The Indonesian government has pledged to verify if the use of the popular Balinese Pendet dance in Malaysia's tourism ads was the latter's attempt to claim it as their own.
